Beth’s got a tip for floaty-boat building:
It’s spring here in New England and my 2.5yo is into making boats for all the muddy puddles. Usually our spur-of-the-moment boats are made out of something like packing peanuts or foam packing material for the "hull," toothpicks or wooden skewers for the mast and paper for the sails. But the sails get wet pretty quickly. During our last boat-building session, my eye caught a Tyvek envelope I’d gotten in the mail. Perfect! I cut in into sail shape and taped it onto the mast. Last week’s boats are still sailing strong!
